OB-BYN Search

I spent yesterday in search for an OB-GYN who is covered by our current insurance and will also be covered by the insurance Richoh will be switching over to next year. After looking at a list of unfamiliar names, I was almost resolved to go back to the doctor who took care of me during my pregnancy and delivered Gaby: Dr. Wan. Unfortunately, after trying several phone numbers, I was not able to find him. The only doctor who was close enough to our home is Dr. Bruce Hagadorn, who I will hopefully meet this Friday. I go in for blood tests.

So far, all is going well. I have not had any morning sickness. If I didn't know I was pregnant, I would be in the mindset to start going to the gym or getting more exercise =)

Once...Twice....Three Times...

So, here it is in a nutshell:

Yes! I am pregnant =) We didn't plan it at all. We were aiming for at least another year before having another baby, but God's timing is different from ours. I had missed my "visitor" last month, but I figured it was stress-related. I had taken a home pregnancy test a couple weeks ago, and it came out negative. Still no "visitor" this month, so that prompted me to take another test. I waited. Then stared, and stared. I think part of me was hoping that by staring long and hard enough, "Not" would suddenly appear before "pregnant". It didn't. We confirmed it at the doctor's this afternoon, even though we were pretty sure the results were correct.

We shared the news with our parents, and pretty soon, all our family and friends will be in on the news! We're praying for a boy! Although, we already have a name picked out if it's a girl--I love the name so much that I'm sort of hoping for another girl! HEHE!

Three Little Princesses Wishing All "Happy Halloween!"

I had it all planned out. Savannah was going to be Aladdin's Jasmin this year, and Gaby was going to be Snow White. It is so much easier to make the choices for them when they cannot argue with you! Savannah has been in love with Snow White the past year, and could not be convinced to be any other princess. So, fortunately for her, when I was out looking for a Jasmin costume, Cinderella became more affordable. To complete the set, cousin Alyssa dressed up as Sleeping Beauty.

We had a fun day hanging out at home, then scurrying around getting the girls bathed, dressed, and ready for Savannah's Daycare party.

Then we were off to Grandma's and Grandpa's for Trick-or-Treating.

(I applaud all you moms who tackle 3 kids daily, just to make it out of the house and somewhere on time!)

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, to my love! You bring laughter into our family, whether you're laughing at me over something I don't find so amusing or tickling it out of the girls. I love you for having enough energy at the end of your work day to greet your little ones, who run at you with full force! WE LOVE YOU!!

Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch

This year, we did something a little different from the usual pumpkin patch outing. Tanaka Farms is a great place to visit! It is 30 acres of farm land, growing organic fruits and vegetables. We started our day there with a wagon ride tour. We saw a variety of vegetables, fruit trees, and a huge pumpkin patch complete with scarecrows. We had fun going through the corn maze. Can you imagine what Savannah and Gaby must have been thinking once they realized they were surrounded by their favorite food? From there, we went to pick our own vegetables. It was a great experience for the girls to dig into the dirt and work hard to pull out radishes, carrots, onions. Gaby was very into eating everything she picked. We had just enough time to visit the petting zoo and enjoy playing with the sheep, goats, and pigs. By then, we were all starving! We stuffed ourselves at Dickey's BBQ Pit. I think the kids enjoyed FREE ice cream more than anything else.
