Quality Daycare Graduation Day

Savannah goes to Quality Daycare. She has been there for 4 months. She loves her teachers and all things that they teach her. She enjoys playing with her friends, singing songs, and learning new games.
I know how much she loves going to "school" because we hear her singing the songs she's learned from there every day. She even runs her own school. Sometimes she sits down with her imaginary classmates and goes over the "Good Morning" song. She'll go down the row and ask, "How are you today, _____?" and answers "Fine, thank you!" for each of them. She also does this with her family members as her students. Just do not make the mistake of calling her the teacher. She will adamantly say, "NO! I'm Nanas, big girl!"
For her first year in daycare, Savannah received a special certificate for adjusting well in daycare. She used to be the little 2 year old who did not like being woken up in the morning, and saying, "I don't want to go to school. I want to stay home with Gaby." She would be holding tightly to Mommy's hand and crying for a while once Mommy went out the door. She used to sit quietly in her chair, and watch her teachers and classmates sing and not utter one sound.
Now, she asks to go to school on the days I don't work. She sits in her chair, clapping and singing along with the rest of her friends. I am told that she is a born leader. She is not bossy, but suggestive in what she wants others to do.
I, too, have enjoyed watching Savannah blossom the past 4 months. She is learning her letters, shapes, number/counting. She will be an early reader. She loves books and loves being read to. One of these days, she'll be reading to Gaby! Of all that she is learning, we are all tickled with joy to hear her singing and saying things in Spanish. Thank you, Quality Daycare. Miss Laura, Miss Claudia and Miss Conchita, you have opened the world to her!!
