We spent the entire day out. We rushed to the movies and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. I thought it was a cute movie, and I loved the way they updated the songs. As much as I was impressed and surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie, I was amazed at how well Savannah and Gaby did in the theater. They were so good, munching away on their snacks from home, and sharing juice with Mommy.
After the movie, I took the girls on a lunch date at Inka Mama's. It was a little chaotic at first, trying to get things settled and making sure everyone's food was ready. They were both a bit squirmy, but we were able to eat without causing a scene--quite a success, if you ask me!
I was so thankful that Savannah and Gaby fell asleep on the way home. I took advantage of the quiet and drove from Foothill Ranch to Dana Point, and went along the coast up to Jamboree. By the time we got home, it was 4:30 pm. I didn't want the day to end yet, so I found some old hot dog buns in the refrigerator and took us to the lake to feed the ducks and geese.
Savannah had fun throwing HUGE pieces to her new feathered friends. Gaby, on the other hand, did not understand what we were all doing. Every time I gave her a piece of bread, she would immediately put in her mouth. I would quickly retrieve it from her mouth and throw it out to the ducks. The expression on her face was a picture I wish I could have taken. If she could talk, I am sure she would say, "WHY am I throwing perfectly good bread to the birds?"
